Mosaic Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of petit beurre biscuits

  • 200 grams dark chocolate

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 100 grams butter

  • 1 packet vanilla (optional)

  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional)









Instructions:

  1. Crush the Biscuits: Break the petit beurre biscuits into large pieces by hand or with a rolling pin. Place them in a large bowl.

  2. Prepare the Chocolate and Sugar Mixture: In a saucepan, combine the butter, milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Once the mixture is smooth, add the cocoa powder (optional) and stir. Do not let it boil; just heat it through.

  3. Add the Chocolate: Break the dark chocolate into pieces and add it to the warm mixture. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

  4. Mix the Biscuits: Add the crushed biscuits into the chocolate mixture and stir gently, making sure the biscuits are well-coated with the chocolate.

  5. Add Walnuts (Optional): If you're using walnuts, chop them up and add them to the mixture, then stir to combine.

  6. Transfer to a Pan: Pour the mixture into a round cake pan or any other mold you prefer. Use a spoon or spatula to smooth the top.

  7. Chill: Refrigerate the mosaic cake for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This helps it firm up and set properly.

  8. Serve: Once chilled, remove the cake from the mold carefully, slice it, and serve.
