Lotus Cake

Ingredients:

For the Base:

  • 1 pack of Lotus biscuits

  • 1/2 cup milk (to soak the biscuits)

For the Cream:

  • 1 pack whipped cream powder

  • 1 cup milk

  • 200 ml heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)

For the Chocolate Sauce:

  • 100 grams milk chocolate

  • 50 grams white chocolate (optional, for a sweeter sauce)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Topping:

  • Lotus biscuits (sliced)

Grated chocolate (optional)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Base: Crush the Lotus biscuits in a food processor until they are finely ground, or crush them by hand into small pieces. Pour 1/2 cup of milk over the biscuits and mix well to soften them. Press the mixture firmly into a mold or a large plate to form the base. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to firm up.

  • Prepare the Cream: In a bowl, add the whipped cream powder and milk, then whisk it until it thickens. Once the cream is whipped, add the heavy cream and continue whisking for a few more minutes until it becomes smooth and creamy. Optionally, you can add powdered sugar to sweeten it.

  • Prepare the Chocolate Sauce: Break the milk chocolate and white chocolate (if using) into pieces and place them in a saucepan. Add the milk and stir over medium heat until the chocolate melts and the mixture becomes smooth. Add the butter and mix until it completely melts and blends into the sauce.

  • Assemble the Cake: Take the biscuit base out of the fridge. Pour the prepared cream over the biscuit base and spread it evenly. Then, pour the chocolate sauce on top of the cream layer.

  • Decorate: Place sliced Lotus biscuits on top of the cake. You can also sprinkle grated chocolate on top for extra decoration.

  • Chill: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours. The longer it chills, the better the flavors will meld, and the dessert will become firmer.

  • Serve: Once chilled, slice the cake and serve it cold.
