Baked Cream-Filled Waffle Balls

Ingredients:
For the Waffle Batter:
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (10g) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water (optional, to adjust the batter consistency)
For the Cream Filling:
200ml heavy cream
100g white chocolate (optional, for a sweeter cream)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Topping:
Chocolate sauce (optional)
Fresh fruit (blueberries, bananas, strawberries, etc.)
Powdered sugar or granulated sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cream Filling:
Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until it forms stiff peaks.
Once the chocolate has melted, let it cool slightly and then add it to the whipped cream, mixing well.
Refrigerate the cream filling until it firms up a bit.
2. Prepare the Waffle Batter:
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until smooth.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring to form a smooth batter. If the batter is too thick, you can add water to adjust the consistency.
3. Bake the Waffle Balls:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll the waffle batter into small balls (about the size of a walnut). Place them on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball as they will spread slightly during baking.
Bake the waffle balls in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
4. Fill with Cream:
Once the waffle balls have cooled a bit, use a small tool or your finger to make a small hole in the center of each ball.
Fill a piping bag or a plastic bag with the prepared cream and pipe it into the center of each waffle ball.
5. Serve:
Drizzle chocolate sauce over the filled waffle balls, and garnish with fresh fruit or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
