Baked Cream-Filled Waffle Balls

Ingredients:

For the Waffle Batter:

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 packet (10g) baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup water (optional, to adjust the batter consistency)

For the Cream Filling:

  • 200ml heavy cream

  • 100g white chocolate (optional, for a sweeter cream)

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Topping:

  • Chocolate sauce (optional)

  • Fresh fruit (blueberries, bananas, strawberries, etc.)

  • Powdered sugar or granulated sugar (optional)



Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cream Filling:

  • Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave.

  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until it forms stiff peaks.

  • Once the chocolate has melted, let it cool slightly and then add it to the whipped cream, mixing well.

  • Refrigerate the cream filling until it firms up a bit.

2. Prepare the Waffle Batter:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until smooth.

  • Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and mix well.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring to form a smooth batter. If the batter is too thick, you can add water to adjust the consistency.

3. Bake the Waffle Balls:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll the waffle batter into small balls (about the size of a walnut). Place them on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball as they will spread slightly during baking.

  • Bake the waffle balls in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

4. Fill with Cream:

  • Once the waffle balls have cooled a bit, use a small tool or your finger to make a small hole in the center of each ball.

  • Fill a piping bag or a plastic bag with the prepared cream and pipe it into the center of each waffle ball.

5. Serve:

  • Drizzle chocolate sauce over the filled waffle balls, and garnish with fresh fruit or a dusting of powdered sugar.

  • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
